I helped our news department with a story on the new pedestrian bridge that is in today’s paper.
The bridge over 35 to Apogee won’t be open for the home opener and might not even be open before UNT plays Louisiana-Lafayette on ESPN2 later in the season.
UNT fans will still be able to walk over North Texas Boulevard, which is where the people who parked at Fouts crossed the highway last year.
The bridge will open eventually.
It’s not a huge deal in the long-run.
It has to be a little disappointing, though. UNT is hoping the bridge will help bolster attendance and get a few more students to venture over from the main campus to home games.
