LSU has a couple of key players whose status for the Tigers season-opener against UNT are in question.
Michael Ford led LSU last year with 756 yards and seven touchdowns, while linebacker Tahj Jones was expected to start at outside linebacker.
As far as UNT’s roster goes, the plan at this point is for Iowa transfer John Chelf to join the team later this fall. He won’t be in the Mean Green’s plans for this season. Dan McCarney continues to be very high on Iowa JC transfer Darrnell Smith.
