I am sitting up in the press box in Manhattan and have some time before we launch the gameday chat, which has replaced the gameday blog.
While I’m at it, here’s a good piece from Pre-Snap Read on how bad Conference USA is this year.
Paul Myerberg makes the argument that C-USA and the Sun Belt are the two worst leagues in the country and there isn’t a whole lot of difference between the two.
Needless to say, it’s an interesting point from UNT’s perspective as it prepares to leave the Sun Belt for C-USA.
To tell you the truth, it’s good news when you look at it from UNT’s perspective.
The attraction with C-USA largely for UNT is that the league includes Tulsa, Rice, UTEP, et cetera.
UNT didn’t plead its case for the better part of a decade because of the strength of the league. UNT could have its best team in years next season. It wouldn’t be a bad turn of events for UNT if C-USA wasn’t loaded next year.
