The UNT soccer team has a huge game coming up at 1 p.m.
The Mean Green will play at Western Kentucky for the whole enchilada, the whole ball of wax, the Sun Belt Conference title.
UNT is 8-0-1 following a huge win over Middle Tennessee earlier in the week. If UNT wins today, it wins the Sun Belt regular season title for the second straight year and earns the No. 1 seed in the Sun Belt tournament.
It would be huge for the program to leave the Sun Belt with the title, and make its path to the Sun Belt tournament title a little easier.
The Sun Belt is a one-bid league when it comes to the NCAA tournament. You win the tournament, you get in. If not, it’s have a nice day.
WKU is 10-4-2. UNT is 13-3-2.
It won’t be easy to win on the road at WKU.
In a side note, WKU was the team that knocked UNT out of the Sun Belt tournament last year in a 0-0 tie that went to penalty kicks.
