Stopped by basketball practice this afternoon and picked up a couple of basketball notes.
The most important development of the day is the status of Justin Patton. The Grambling transfer injured his knee in practice and will be out two to four weeks, Tony Benford said. He was cutting in practice and went down without anyone touching him.
What is even more interesting is that Benford said that Patton likely would have started at small forward n UNT’s season-opener.
T.J. Taylor has undergone surgery on his shoulder. He won’t be back in practice until February or March.
