The road UNT must travel the rest of the season isn’t going to be an easy one following the Mean Green’s loss to Middle Tennessee on Saturday.
If one takes a look at UNT’s schedule, the Mean Green might have the three best teams in the Sun Belt still waiting out there. Arkansas State has won three straight and comes to town for homecoming this weekend. ASU can become bowl-eligible with a win.
UNT also has trips to Western Kentucky and Louisiana-Monroe on the schedule. ULM and WKU might be the best teams in the league and neither seems like a good matchup for UNT.
UNT will have to regroup after being blitzed by the Blue Raiders.
That could be tough to do, especially without Brelan Chancellor.
The one bright spot left on the slate is a game against South Alabama. That should be a win any way one looks at it.
Just a quick factoid about ASU — The Red Wolves have scored at least 34 points in their last three games and dropped 50 on Louisiana-Lafayette last week. ASU has scored more points than in its previous outing in each of its last three games.
