Sherman linebacker Kahlee Woods has cut the list of schools he is considering to four: UNT, Texas Tech, Colorado State and New Mexico.
I talked to Woods a couple of days ago and he said he isn’t leaning toward any school. My gut feeling is that UNT has a shot, which makes it a little more interesting to follow every turn in the chase.
This might not play a role, but it is interesting to note that former Texas A&M commit Edward Williams is down to two schools — Louisiana Tech and Texas Tech. He is leaning toward heading to Lubbock.
Williams and Woods are both inside linebackers. Texas Tech doesn’t have an inside linebacker committed at this point and could take both. Texas Tech has 17 players on the board.
You never know.
Williams has already visited Lubbock. Woods heads there this weekend.
Signing day is just around the corner.
UNT will find out if Woods will be the headliner of its class pretty quickly.
