Former Texas Tech guard Cameron Forte’s name popped up in connection with UNT a couple of days ago as we head toward national signing day.
Forte left Tech and played last season at Howard College, where he averaged 22.6 points a game.
It seemed like he might be a fit for UNT, which is in the market for frontcourt help as we head toward national signing day, so I gave Howard head coach Mark Adams a call.
Adams said today that UNT is not in the hunt for Forte and never was.
Forte is considering Georgia, Long Beach State, Colorado State, Pitt and Ole Miss.
