We reported last night that UNT had landed Armani Flannigan, a junior college forward out of Wyoming.
UNT still has several open spots on its roster.
One of its remaining targets appears to be Vertrail Vaughns, a 6-foot-4 guard who has spent the last four seasons at George Mason, including a redshirt year as a freshman. Vaughns averaged 5.0 points a game as a junior this season. He started as a junior and averaged 8.8 points a game.
Vaughns is from Mesquite. Since he has been at George Mason for four years, there is a chance he graduated and could be able to play immediately.
Vertrail Vaughns visited North Texas and has another visit planned at Maryland, per his facebook page

If Vaughns is looking for playing time, it seems like UNT would be a better bet than Maryland.
Vaughns was rated No. 25 in the state by TexasHoops.com in his class.
