Former UNT player finds a new home

Former North Texas linebacker Michael Stojkovic (31) tackles Florida Atlantic wide receiver DeAndre Richardson during the 2011 season at Apogee Stadium. Stojkovic has resumed his career at Robert Morris.

Michael Stojkovic, a linebacker who showed great potential early in his career at UNT before washing out of the program, has found a new home:

Robert Morris is an FCS school in Pennsylvania.

A school spokesman confirmed that he is on the roster for the upcoming season.

Stojkovic started nine games as a true freshman at outside linebacker for UNT in 2011, when he ranked fifth on the team with 48 tackles. He later ran into off-the-field issues, including pleading no contest to two counts of misdemeanor assault in September of 2012.

He eventually left the program.

I always liked Stojkovic. I hope it works out for him this time around.
