We are pretty much all football all the time in about this time of the year, but there are a couple of items of interest out there I thought were worth bringing up.
UNT has already had an in-home visit with Keenan Evans, a point guard from Richardson Berkner. Evans is the 14th-ranked player in the state. A host of schools have already offered, including Western Kentucky. Watch out for former UNT assistant Shawn Forrest, who is maybe the best recruiting assistant to come through UNT in the last decade.
Just got done with a home visit with UNT.

Texas Tech and Tubby Smith were also by to see Evans.

And in other news, I made the round in the Olympic sports today.
The UNT soccer team lost stud goalie Jackie Kerestine to a torn ACL in a loss to Virginia Tech, but hasn’t missed a beat since plugging Haley Riley in. UNT posted a pair of shutouts with Riley in goal and is ranked sixth in the region this week in the National Soccer Coaches Association of America poll. UNT is also receiving votes in the Top 25. UNT shut out TCU without arguably its best player in Kerestine.
UNT is really, really good again under John Hedlund.
Yeah, big surprise.
And in other news, the UNT volleyball team is off to a good start with a 5-3 record under new head coach Andrew Palileo.
