UNT football recruiting target just blew up

Xavier Washington, a defensive end out of Cedar Hill who attended one of UNT’s late summer recruiting camps, had a monster game last night in a 26-3 win over Duncanville.

Washington finished with five sacks, two more quarterback hits and a fumble recovery.

That would be impressive in a game against just about anyone. It’s especially impressive in a game against Duncanville, a solid Class 5A team.

Washington is a bit undersized at 6-1, 235, but is a heck of a player and a smart guy. He has offers from Yale and Air Force on the table.

He recently visited Nevada:

Washington would be a great get for UNT. Stay tuned.
