Wednesday night notes (UNT volleyball team falls, football, recruiting tidbits)

The UNT volleyball team had a tough night at TCU this evening. The Frogs took down the Mean Green in straight sets 25-21, 25-20, 25-19 in a televised match.

It’s a tough loss for UNT, but it was on the road. It looked like TCU had a good crowd.

And in some other news of the day …

Former Guyer standout John Schilleci had his stripes removed today. It’s one of the rituals of the Dan McCarney regime. Players that have the two tape stripes removed from there helmet are officially trusted members of the team — or something along those lines.

Schilleci is contributing on special teams.

We also saw a little news on the basketball recruiting front.

Keenan Evans, the Dallas-area point guard UNT had an in-home visit with recently, continues to be pursued by several schools:
