The NCAA released its report on how schools are faring in terms of having their athletes graduate today. A whole lot goes into these reports. I will have to take a closer look at them to provide context, but at first glance it appears UNT did pretty well. The school scored a 75 on the graduation success rate report and a 67 on the federal graduation rate report.
This rundown of the year-by-year scores and reports show that UNT’s overall scores for the latest report are its highest ever.
The basic idea behind these reports are to track how schools do in terms of graduating athletes.
UNT point guard Hannah Christian has had a tough road to travel over the last few months. She has not played a lot due to injury issues.
In a bit of good news, it looks like she is good to go this season. For some reason I can’t get the Tweet to embed in this blog, but this is what she sent out today:
“After ten months I am finally cleared to play again! Best day ever!”
Christian will provide depth at the guard spots.
On the football front, I wrote this story on Zac Whitfield and his mother who is struggling with health issues today. Whitfield is a good guy. His mom seems like a really special lady. She is also supposed to be a heck of a cook.
