UNT earned a spot in the bowl by winning six of its last seven regular season games, including a five-game winning streak that included a win over eventual Conference USA champion Rice.
The Heart of Dallas Bowl has planned a press conference that will take place with the coaches and and athletic directors from bowl teams later this afternoon.
