UNT is headed to a bowl game for the first time since 2004 and the Denton Record-Chronicle is going all out for the occasion.
If it seems like I have been MIA on the blog for a while, which I have, there is a good reason.
I have been holed up in the office writing and designing the largest bowl section we have ever produced.
The section will be 12 pages with not a sliver of wire content anywhere.
It’s all UNT and UNLV all the time.
This is one of those occasions — kind of like when our preview magazine comes out in August — that buck it costs for the paper on Sunday is a ridiculous bargain.
Tomorrow’s special section will include:
– A feature on UNT’s seniors
– Previews on both teams
– A story on the UNT’s incoming president Neal Smatresk and outgoing president Lane Rawlins
– A photo page
And that’s just for starters.
We also have a feature on Marcus Trice’s journey from St. Louis to UNT in the regular paper that I have spent months working on. It’s all good and its pretty much all about the Mean Green tomorrow.
