UNT-UTA coming up

I have been so busy talking to bowl officials and people involved in the Dan McCarney extension talks, I haven’t had a chance to talk about the UNT-UTA women’s game on the blog.

I’m going to sneak in under the wire here. The game starts in about 11 minutes.

UNT has struggled a bit of late. That’s what happens when a team plays Texas A&M, Oklahoma State and Houston.

The Mean Green will look to get things headed back the opposite way today against the Movin’ Mavs, who are moving in the wrong direction to the tune of 0-7.

The interesting aspect of it is Karen Blair was UTA’s interim coach at the end of last season, when the school’s experiment with hiring a high school coach — in this case it was Samantha Morrow — turned out to be a colossal bust.

Where have we heard that before?

I wrote a little about Blair’s return at the top of today’s UNT notebook.

Here is a link to today’s game tracker, if anyone wants to follow along.
