UNT is bringing in 11 players for official visits this weekend, which will be a key time for the Mean Green as far as solidifying its class.
Here are the players who I know will be in town:
Players committed to UNT:
Willy Ivery, running back, Sulpher Springs
Tee Goree, wide receiver, Carthage
O’Keeron Rutherford, wide receiver, Carthage
Johnavhan Graham, defensive tackle, DeSoto
Shaq Jackson, defensive tackle DeSoto
Christopher Miles, offensive lineman, Flower Mound
Andrew Jones, cornerback, North Mesquite
Jalen Mongomery, linebacker, Mesquite
Fonzale Davis, wide receiver, South Oak Cliff
Players still on the board:
Tillman Johnson, defensive end, Round Rock McNeil
I’m missing one.
Here’s the real kicker. UNT has two spots left at this point. The number is a bit of a moving target.
Cedar Hill defensive end Xavier Washington will be in next weekend. Washington is visiting Houston this weekend and is largely considered to be the top prospect still left out there who UNT has a shot at.
Washington has said he wants to take a couple of visits. Just getting him on campus would be a huge boost for UNT. It would significantly improve UNT’s chances of landing him.
