UNT on the road and a few other notes

UNT’s football staff is back out on the road, beginning the process of building its next recruiting class.

There have been a host of mentions of where UNT is headed and the prospects its looking at.

I have always believed that the impact of great seasons — and UNT just had one — are felt most a year after the fact. UNT will have a full year to tell recruits about what the Mean Green accomplished last season, when UNT beat UNLV in the Heart of Dallas Bowl.

UNT is still working on wrapping up its 2014 class. It’s going to be a good one, but again, don’t assume that Longview Pine Tree quarterback Caleb Chumley ends up signing with UNT.

On the basketball front, UTEP won a big game in C-USA play tonight:
