The UNT women will take on Florida Atlantic this 3 p.m. in Boca Raton. UNT has already picked up a win over Florida International and enjoyed some time on the beach during its swing through Florida.
Not a bad deal.
It would be even better if UNT can complete the sweep with its win over FAU.
The Owls have been going down the tubes of late, losing four of its last five. FAU’s struggles have coincided with Chenise Miller’s injury. The senior is one of the better post players in the Sun Belt and has missed five games due to injury.
If Miller misses today’s game — and it looks like that could well be the case — UNT should have a huge advantage inside with Briesha Wynn and Alexis Hyder. Both have been playing well of late. Wynn had 21 points in UNT’s win over FIU and is averaging 10.5 points a game. Hyder is posting 10.1 points a game.
A win today would push UNT to .500 in Conference USA play at 3-3 heading into a two-game homestand next week.
