Wednesday afternoon notes, thoughts (softball game postponed, does Greer have momentum?)

Here are a few tidbits of interest and thoughts on the news of the day at UNT.

First off, a bit of news:

UNT was supposed to play at Oklahoma in a televised game that has now been postponed.

UNT has been playing really well this season and is in the hunt for the conference title heading into a weekend series at home against UAB. The Mean Green is 8-1 in league play.

On the football front, I am starting to wonder if things are lining up for Josh Greer heading into this weekend’s scrimmage after yesterday’s workout.

Greer had a good day in practice and is one of the last three quarterbacks standing along with Dajon Williams and Andrew McNulty.

Saturday’s scrimmage is going to be a key one and from the looks of things Greer will get a long look. Mike Canales is going to give equal reps to all three of the quarterbacks in the race, assuming they are all available.

Quarterback races are tough to call. They are like roller-coasters. My gut feeling is Greer has some momentum at this point.
