Wednesday evening tidbits

There were a couple items of interest to come down the pipe this afternoon. To review:

Southlake Carroll will host a women’s soccer game between UNT and Texas at 3 p.m. on April 5. The game will be a big opportunity for UNT, which has knocked off Big 12 teams in the past. The Mean Green will have the Longhorns on a neutral field. David Just from the DMN has the particulars.

Best aspect of the news — Southlake Carroll is involved, and it has nothing to do with football.

And speaking of football, Dave Campbell’s Texas Football put out a rundown of where all the teams in the state stand in terms of recruiting. It’s still really early. UNT is just getting started, but there is some interesting information in there.

We also mentioned a while back that UNT is in the hunt to land JUCO point guard Dequon Miller. Interest in the Motlow State star is picking up:
