Over the last few weeks it appeared as if UNT’s options on the basketball recruiting front were becoming pretty clear.
Paris JC center Nouhoum Bocoum appeared to be the Mean Green’s late target to fill the void at center after the departure of Kelvin Gaines and Keith Coleman.
The picture has changed once again.

North Texas has offered 2014 G Greg White-Pittman from Holy Cross (New Orleans). The Louisiana class 5A MVP expected to visit next week #UNT

UNT has offered combo guard and former Tulane commitment Greg White-Pittman.
I had to cover high school baseball tonight and haven’t had a chance to run down more information on White-Pittman, but he would help fill the void left by the departure of Alzee Williams, Brandan Walton and Vertrail Vaughns.
If UNT does not land Bocoum it would be another step closer to the Mean Green becoming a smaller, quicker team next season. Tony Benford has taken a look at Conference USA and has come to the conclusion that to compete UNT will have to have quicker, more agile post players.
It’s the same formula Southern Miss used last season.
UNT has brought in a number of players who would fit in with that type of team from Greg Wesely to Jeremy Combs to spring JUCO signee Muhammed Ahmed
There is no telling at this point if White-Pittman ends up at UNT, but right now it looks like he might and Bocoum might be headed to Jonesboro.
