Tuesday morning notes, thoughts (UNT land soccer transfers, et cetera)

There was some talk about this last night at the UNT coaches caravan at Apogee Stadium and now it’s official, the Mean Green soccer team has picked up a couple of big-time transfers.

There is a reason the UNT soccer team is by far the most consistent program at the school. John Hedlund’s crew just wins. Landing two top transfers from Big 12 schools certainly isn’t going to hurt matters.

This has been mentioned as well, but in the wake of Allen’s new stadium being deemed unsafe, UNT will host a game between the Eagles and Guyer on Aug. 29.

It certainly isn’t going to hurt matters for UNT to have two of the top high school programs in the area on their home turf. Apogee is a really nice venue. UNT made a lot of good decisions when it came time to build a new stadium.

And on the recruiting front …

UNT offered San Angelo Central defensive end Eli Howard. Here are his Hudl highlights.
