UNT to play in C-USA softball semifinals, et cetera

Taylor Schoblocher

The UNT softball team came through in the clutch again last night in the first round of the Conference USA softball tournament.

Taylor Schoblocher, one of the more clutch UNT athletes around, drove in the winning run in the 10th inning to give the Mean Green a 5-4 win over Florida Atlantic.

That sent UNT to the semifinals, where the Mean Green will face Tulsa at 3:30 p.m. today. C-USA has a Game Tracker if one wants to follow along.

UNT won two out of three from Tulsa in the final weekend of the regular season, including the final game that saw Brooke Foster hit a walk-off grand slam.

Tulsa will be out for revenge today.

And on the recruiting front, UNT is making a big push to get into the Denton area schools:

UNT has offered Argyle lineman Matt Hiter

The Mean Green has also hit Denton High again.

UNT offered both Rowdy Clark and Judd Terry
