There might not have been a prospect in the Class of 2015 UNT fans were more intrigued by than DeSoto linebacker Chris Orr.
The reasons are obvious.
He’s a great player.
He plays at a school that is something of a UNT recruiting pipeline.
Oh, yeah. He’s also the younger brother of one of the greater players in recent UNT history, linebacker Zach Orr.
Bottom line. Seeing the third of the Orr brothers commit to Wisconsin hurts.
Chris Orr could have carried on his brother’s legacy at UNT, but chose to go to a school that competes on the big national stage of the Big Ten.
He’s the second member of the family to chose the big lights over a potential family legacy. Nick Orr is now at TCU.
UNT will land a good recruiting class for 2015 coming off its bowl win. The future is bright.
It just looks like the Mean Green’s hopes for an Orr tradition within the program have come to an end unless Chris Orr changes his mind or Nick ends up transferring later in his career.
