Sunday morning recruiting tidbits, Mitchell notes

Just so everyone is up to date, here are a couple of Sunday morning recruiting tidbits.

First off, Houston Kinkaid wide receiver Sam Mays is set to announce where he is headed this afternoon. UNT has offered, but conventional wisdom has him projected to go to a one of the other schools that have offered him, including BYU, Houston, Fresno State, Illinois or Baylor.

Another wide receiver came off the board yesterday when Dallas Bishop Dunne wide receiver A.D. Miller committed to Illinois, which the DMN mentioned.

And on the basketball front, Tony Mitchell scored 13 points and grabbed three rebounds for the Pistons in his first game in the NBA summer league.

Mitchell hit four of his five shots from the field and five of six from the line, not to mention throwing down this dunk:

Detroit plays Memphis at 2 p.m. today.
