There are a couple of recruiting tidbits I have been meaning to get to here on the blog, including one that came out tonight.
North Texas has offered Denton Ryan wide receiver Tauskie Dove.
Dove caught 74 passes for 1,161 yards and 16 touchdowns last season.
Keeping top-end Denton players at home has been a struggle for UNT forever. Most want to get out of town if they have the chance. UNT did manage to hang on to Tyreke Davis this past class, though. That was a big win for the Mean Green, and it could give them an in with Dove.
Davis is another Ryan product.
And speaking of recruiting, Nathan Tune’s younger brother is headed to Kansas.
Clayton Tune is also a quarterback and is a three-star prospect. UNT was among a host of schools that were sniffing around, but had yet to offer.
There have been some brothers of former UNT players to come down the pipe over the last few years, but most have landed at Power Five schools. There were Nick Orr (TCU) and Chris Orr (Wisconsin), the younger brothers of Zach Orr; Jerminic Smith (Iowa), the younger brother of Darnell Smith; and now Tune.
