UNT-UTEP men’s basketball running blog

The North Texas men’s basketball team will take on UTEP tonight here at the Super Pit. We are along for the ride.

UNT finally snapped its 11-game losing streak last week with a win over Florida Atlantic, but then fell in a head-to-head battle with Florida International to get out of last place in the Conference USA standings.

The Mean Green will look to bounce back against one of the hottest teams in C-USA.. UTEP has won seven of its last nine and knocked off league power Middle Tennessee in that span.

UNT is 6-8 at the Super Pit and is in danger of having its first losing season at home since the 2002-03 season.

The Mean Green have been getting solid contributions of late from freshmen Ryan Wooldridge and A.J. Lawson. Point guard J-Mychal Reese is also playing well. They will be matched up with one of C-USA’s best back courts in Omega Harris and Dominic Artis.

Stay tuned. I will update the blog all night.
