UNT women's basketball coach Shanice Stephens continued to make headway in rebuilding her team this week when she landed her third recruit since arriving on campus. The latest to hop on board is Jasmine Godbolt, a forward from Garland Naaman Forest. Godbolt will be a senior this fall and has pretty impressive credentials, including being named first-team All-District 10-5A and all-region last year. I caught Godbolt on the phone in between games with her AAU team that is at a tournament in New Orleans this week. A PG, a SG, and now a Forward?... What gets me is the admiration these girls conveyed during the interview - of how the coaches felt "like family". They also, all seem excited about being involved in starting something BIG and all are looking forward to who else is going to join them!
All it takes to achieve a dream is believing (and hard work, hours of video, learning the system... and loving the people you "work" for)!
