According to the arrest affidavit, Germaine Dawson's girlfriend told police that Dawson was headed to Dallas to sell marijuana on the night that he was killed.

Another man told police that he called Ryan Harrison when he heard Dawson was missing. Harrison told him that he had the money and marijuana and that the drug deal had gone "left", which the man interpreted to mean that the deal didn't go as planned, according to the affidavit.

Harrison has been arrested and charged with murder in the case.
