I stopped by practice for a few minutes today before heading over to the softball field to pick up some notes for Wednesday's notebook.

I really wonder how much UNT will be able to get out of two workouts following the spring game. It seems almost anticlimactic to go back to practice, even though it is necessary to get all of UNT's allotted practices in.

I will give UNT this; it has avoided injuries throughout the spring with its limited-contact approach. Troy and Middle Tennessee have been hit hard. We will see who comes out ahead in the fall.

The one bit of bad news appears to be a knee injury to big offensive lineman walk-on Chad Little. He was wearing a brace during practice kept his knee immobile. It didn't look good, but I didn't have a chance to hang around until the end of practice to find out exactly what Little's status is.

As far as the play on the field goes, Jeremy Phillips intercepted a pass and continues to look like he will contribute this year. Cam Montgomery broke off a long run when he got to the corner.
