Final -- UNT 98, HT 51. I'll be back.
Update 2:41 -- Tyler Hall is having the game of his college life, even if it is an exhibition game. Hall just threw one down on teh break and took a really hard foul. He hit the floor and is bleeding from the nose. The walk-on has 18 points. He has scored 14 all year in the regular season. Too bad this won't count.
Update 3:38 -- We have hit the final media timeout with UNT up 88-46 on kido day at the Super Pit. Brandan Walton and Alzee Williams both have 19 for UNT. They are a combined 15-for-25 from the field. UNT is shooting 57 percent from the field.
Update 7:39 -- UNT is up 76-43 at the third media timeout. Brandan Walton has 19 and Alzee Williams 16 for UNT. Tyler Hall has 12. Alzee has hit six of his nine shots from the field.
Update 11:59 -- UNT is up 64-35. I took a break for a minute there to talk with someone about some issues I will blog about later on. Stay tuned. Alzee Williams has 16 points for UNT. Brandan Walton and Tyler Hall have 11. UNT finally got Tony Mitchell free for a dunk. Hall just got taken down hard. He's back up now. That's the last thing UNT needs.
Update 15:42 -- UNT is up 55-32 at the first media timeout of the second half. Alzee Williams has 15 for UNT. Brandan Walton has 11. UNT is shooting 57 percent from the floor. HT just doesn't have the horses to keep up.
Halftime -- UNT is up 43-26 at halftime. Alzee Williams and Brandan Walton have 11 each. Tonym Mitchell took just one shot in 10 minutes and didn't score. Walk-on Tyler Hall has nine and hit a pair of 3s. Raise your hand if you had Hall with nine and Mitchell with none in the pool. UNT is shooting 54 percent from the floor. Trey Norris has two assists and two rebounds. He has only turned the ball over once, but he has also taken just two shots and hasn't scored. You can kind of see how this team will look going forward. UNT will be looking for some guys to score who have not done a lot of scoring so far this year
Update 3:35 -- UNT is up 34-22 at the final media timeout of the first half. It's nuts in here with all the kids. The goal of the day is to get them to scream as loud as possible. The hope is they come back with their parents to games. Brandan Walton has nine points for UNT. Tyler Hall -- UNT's walk-on -- has six on a couple 3s.
Update 7:03 -- UNT coughed up a 10-3 run, but is still up 24-18 a little past midway in the first half. Brandan Walton has nine points for the Mean Green. UNT nearly got the ball to Tony Mitchell on the break for a dunk that would have had the kids here today going nuts, but the pass was a little too far out in front.
Update 9:55 -- Tony Mitchell is in. That's good news.
Update 11:01 -- UNT is up 17-8 at the second media timeout of the first half. Brandan Walton is having a good game so far. He has seven points and has hit a 3. UNT is really going to need him to score. I get the feeling Tony Mitchell isn't going to play today. He hasn't budged from the bench.
Update 13:56 -- UNT has gotten on track over the last couple of minutes and run off a 7-0 surge. Brandan Walton hit his first 3 of the day. Roger Franklin has four points. HT just called a timeout.
Update 15:47 -- UNT is up 4-2 and looks nothing like it has during its recent run of success. As an added bonus, Tony Mitchell hasn't come into the game yet. I asked, no one seems to know why. The last thing UNT needs now is for Mitchell to have an injury issue
Update tipoff -- Today's starters -- Trey Norris, Brandon Walton, Alzee Williams, Roger Franklin and Niko Stojiljkovic.
UNT has the rare mid-season, middle of the day exhibition game today. It's elementary school day at the Super Pit and there are hundreds of kids in the house.
Not many people can make it to a game like this, but the MGB is in the house, taking the wet noodle beating to keep you up to date on all things mean and green.
This game became a little more interesting (unfortunately so) yesterday when UNT found out that its last-ditch effort to keep Chris Jones and Jordan Williams eligible came up short.
So how does UNT adjust with what it has left?
We should know a little more today. Stay tuned.

Does Mitchell look hurt or are they trying out their other players more with Jones and Williams out?
With a game against Denver tomorrow, they're probably doing the wise thing and keeping Mitchell's powder dry but still letting him stretch his legs.
